image.jpgWell, time has come to change my truck shocks, so after a lot of lectures about suspension, lift kits and other members experience with their lifts, I decided to go with just 1" lift. So I ordered bilstein front an rear shock, fronts will be set at 0.85", and rear custom bended add a leaf for just 1" lift rear.

While I wait for bilstein I started with rear add a lift, custom cut and bended for 1" lift.

5100's and 883 OME Coils TRD Exhaust Deaver 1.5" AAL Rear Differential Breather Extension, 4WD Light, Tailgate Pipe clamp, Fog lights on while High Beams on, Carrier Bearing flip
883's would give you just about a 1" lift.

Before lift, rear height were 20 3/4 left, 21 1/2 right and after lift 22 1/4 left and 22 1/2 right almost perfect.

Next week, Bilsteins will be arriving, then I will install them with stock springs at 0.85". I think a lot about changing springs with OMES, but I'will give old springs a try to see how will be the new suspension arrangement feeling.

    Mayor issue:

Shock absorber can't bee shipped by air. So I have to see how my freight forwarder can ship them by a marine consolidate.!

I've ran into this problem at work with shipping nitrogen charged cylinders. You can either have them emptied, air freight them then recharged locally or look at shipping by vessel as you have already suggested.

I did the 5100's set at 0 with the OME 883's on my 2011 prerunner and it gave me right around 1 3/4 in of lift. The ride is awesome . Rear is stock 2x1 leafs and the truck sits level.

What tire size are you running with this lift?

Yes I did. I had to wait 3 months waiting for carrier to complete one pallet of load or paid additional costs.

Well, here in my country there are some work shops that give you that service. They use an hydraulic hammer-press to shape leafs at necessary arc. I think I have a video showing the process, which I will upload later.

After Bilsteins installed set at 0.85 I'm getting:

    FL before 20" , after 21.25"
    FR before 20.5" after 21.75"

A total increase of 1.25" each side.

Now would like to see 265/70R17 and 275/70R17 with this set up. Could you people show your picks?
