Bear = instinctive. runs away. close combat. loud. relatively easy to track. claws. doesn't know anybody is hunting it.

Dorner = trained body and mind for combat. advantage of hiding. quiet. extremely difficult to track. Barrett .50 cal + 29 other weapons. excellent marksmen. stealthy. has no qualms with putting a bullet in your head. knows every person in the entire US is out to find him.

    Good luck.

I doubt Dorner is carrying 30 rifles or weapons with him

I seriously doubt he is carrying a .50 cal unless he wants to haul around 35 extra pounds.

I think Dorner is now scared and out of his element. He does best when he can ambush couples sitting in their car.

He is no survivalist and has no mountain training or sniper training or counter surveilance training.

LAPD trained him to use a handgun at close distance. If you noticed LAPD isnt very good using handguns at close distance.

Hunting deer and elk in the mountains for years and years trains people very well. Many special forces guys confirm this.

    Dorner is a city creature.

But now the tides have turned on him and he is all lone and everyone gets scared and he is scared.

Maybe some of the military guys can chime in here, but I thought that his qualifications in the Navy were minimum standards met and that everyone who passes the minimum standards gets those "marksman" award.

Plus, the Navy is one step above the Air Force when it comes to firearms training and standards which is about 100 steps below Army and Marines minimum infantry requirements.

    From official press release:

    If you think you're "doubts" and "hunches" are strong enough, go for it. Not gonna be my face on the news in the latest developments on this manhunt. If he is what you say he is, there are only 2 possibilities;

    A) He killed himself and was eaten by scavengers.
    B) He is the world's luckiest man alive, to be scared and alone and evade countless search parties utilizing every available officer from the local to federal and military level.

    Like I said, Good luck.

well thankfully you can only fire one gun at a time accurately so if he has 30 i'm not concerned.

from what i heard his navy experience wasnt in field operations ; meaning he doesnt have training for on the ground ops.

yes, so far he is doing good evading police but so have a million other cut rate criminals.

from what i have heard the searches in the big bear area realy didnt penetrate the back country. police were simply afraid to get back into woods.

That's because HE'S NOT THERE. Jeeze you think you'd put 2 and 2 together?

I've been doubting if he was EVER really there from the moment they found his truck. This guy has had years of planning. The burning truck was a diversion.

not to argue, but i think he killed himself. his body is cold hence being under snow for a few days, and the heat cameras cant pick him up... he made references to "not being alive to see his name cleared" anyways... anyone know how LE found his truck up there? who called, etc.. i guess he couldve put it there a couple days before, and set a bomb on a timer... but unlikely.

Tip called in on the truck. I bet he paid some riverside hobo to drive it up there and light it. Or he had another truck waiting.
