    Newbie here!!

Just picked up a 2015 Dbl Cab 4x2 that came with 16" stock steelies. Sales Manager
at the dealership gave me a good deal on a set of 2017 TRD wheels right off his own truck.

Took them to BIG O' to have them thrown on thinking it would be no problem...BIG O' calls
me back and says all wheels fit except for the front passenger side. They showed me what
was goin on..the wheel isn't going over the hub as easily and flush as the other 3??? WTF????

Tried some FJ wheels and the exact same thing happend. Even brought it in to TOYOTA to see what they'd say. After a couple of hours, Toyota calls and says, ALL IS GOOD, NO PROBLEMS.WTF, again!! After picking up my truck from Toyota I stopped by Discount Tires to get their opinion. They said the same thing BIG O' said, they don't feel good putting that one wheel on the way it's fitting.

Toyota says all is good yet BIG O and DISCOUNT are saying no go....

Anyone else have this odd problem??

Hmmm, that's weird. I'd get them put on by Toyota and drive around. If something breaks, warranty work. That's their problem.

Yeah, having TOYOTA throw them on have them Guarantee it on paper is what I'm thinking.

Really strange that 2 places say NO and TOYOTA says YEP!

    First off welcome to TW.

Sounds an odd deal man. Did anyone mic the OD on the hub? Is there corrosion? Did anyone try swapping the new rims to another position?

I mean a Toyota wheel did come off right?

I'd put it back in the dealer lap & let them handle it.

Just out of interest why didn't they do it from the git go????

Thx Joe D. Glad to be here.

Bought the truck used last month and it had 16" steelies on it and those go on and off just fine.

The wheels DO go on the one problem hub but but both tire places are saying that its not supposed to go on the way its going on...except Toyota.

Gonna try another dealer amd see what they say tomorrow. Thx boyz!!!

Factory lift kit. Lomax tri fold Tonneau.
only thing I can think of is possibly the brake drum could be aftermarket, could of been replaced, you should measure O.D of problem side as Joe D posted above and compare to driver side. good luck
