1 ton first gen Tacoma

After having a 1 ton YJ, 1 ton Jk, 86 yota turbo truggy, and a yota buggy. Now that I've picked up this stock 2001 TRD and pricing lifts I'm heavily debating just doing a waggy swap or SD axles like my JK had. Always hated IFS

Yep, swap that bad boy. I hate IFS too. I'd swap mine in a heartbeat if I had the money or know how

 

You have had some badass rigs so whatever you do should look good man

 

Sold Toyota for 35k and got one professionally built except extended cab

 

True link setup way nicer just needed bumpers front and rear with winch

 

Damn. 4wu kit too with a trussed front & hydro. Def got a killer deal

 

Ya guy didn’t even know what he had only Craigslist deal I drove 8 1/2 hours away that was not worthless at all plus what I got it for couldn’t even buy truck stock for now days

Ya I loved the look of my old truck too and the double cab but for the price it sold for I couldn’t resist haha

 

You will like the 4WU 3 link, if it's set up correctly. It took me time to dial in Brian's prototype for the DS drop and I must say, it works well.
As a side note, I'm waiting for 5 more brackets so I can 3 link the rear with his kit.

What did you have to dial in?

 

Why go with his kit if it requires “dialed in” at aall? With a tape measure and some reading and a little bit more cycling, you can achieve the same thing if mot better for a lot less money

I will say I almost went with his kit till I talked to people and learned about the issues with it and realized the extra cost wasn’t worth it. I was expecting to just mark some measurements and burn it in but I learned that’s not the case entirely.

So my last build on my 4 door was a radius arm / link kit it wasn’t a true 3 link like the one I bought crazy how different they are I like the true 3 link better

 

Looks like it’s for sale. 30k seems pretty pricey considering the parts and it’s not done

 

Testing the waters in this area it’s the going price I sold my 4 door for 35k
