I’m not saying I would do it again.... It scared the piss out of me to see them drop a 1/2 yard of river rock in the back from a loader... I now go to a place that has rental trailers if needed to haul dirt/rock/bark dust....

It will squat super bad, and bottom out. I moved 2200lbs in a F150 with air bags and it was sketch as fuck.

I moved 800lbs in my tacoma and it was pointed to the stars haha.

I carried 800 lbs of potatoes in my nissan once. Rode super smooth.

If you put a ton on it, and it breaks, at least you get to keep both pieces.

I've done exactly that, a full pallet of pellets. 2000 lbs. Every time I hit a solid seam on the freeway I felt bumpstops, and my (stock) leaf packs never recovered. I swapped them out later with someone else's take offs. Not recommended.

You should also consider what kind of braking you'll have, or not have.

absolutely. if you can tow more than you can carry... then tow it.

if you only have a small trailer, then just split the load

I did a half yard of pea gravel with sumo springs on stock suspension. Close to payload capacity. Don’t be stupid and carry over payload.

I've done 1500lbs of water softener salt before and i wouldnt take it much higher than that. Bumps were 100% hitting the bump stops
