I went in just a little early to get my service done because I have a trip coming up this weekend. I always keep my truck clean especially just before taking it in to get the oil changed. The service was completed 6 p.m. Monday and I drove home and parked in the garage and today I open the garage to see a black scuff on my front bumper. I have a thick coat of wax on there so luckily 99% pretty much wiped right off.
I'm not sure if this came from a tire or an air hose or just what but I'm not real happy about it regardless. I'm not totally freaking out about it either but I did call and voice my displeasure and I'm expecting a call back from the service manager to kiss my ass a little.

They put a small scratch on my hood about a year ago. Didnt notice it till two days after the service. Unfortunately things like this happen , service guys are human too. For all I know ,they didn't even realize they scratched my truck.

The annoying thing is. I bought the MGM touchup paint and it is noticeably lighter then my truck, so when it came touchup time it actually made the scratch more noticeable, go figure.

Doesnt look bad. A scuff from a tool or cable, or the tech leaning against the car.

As long as it didn't actually "scratch" through, it's like bird turn droppings.

try a magic eraser if its from a rubber hose or tire.

As far as people with MGM touchup issues coming out lighter. Always make sure to clear coat on top as that changes the shade slightly

:itllbuffout:, but no reason for a dealer to have blatant disregard for someones shiny new ride

Magic erasers are great but be careful because they have abrasive properties. All I'm saying is don't go bat shit with it.
