Yep, as long as everyone is at the meeting place in Gilroy at 9:30AM, we are good. We'll roll out 10:00 or 10:15.

Haha well lead yourselves to the Milpitas meeting spot if you want. But let me know, so we know you're coming.

If anyone has a chainsaw, it might come in handy. Hopefully, there won't be any down trees or limbs blocking the route.

It's a public road and there are residents, so I'm gonna highly discourage this.

I doubt they would mind us clearing a blow down that's blocking the road. Would save them the trouble of doing it themselves. County takes forever to get a crew out there. We have cleared highland a few times and no one has ever complained.

Well alright. If you say so. I however don't own a chainsaw. So if anyone does, feel free to bring it.

Just as in case we get blocked in. Would suck having to back out on a single lane section, or worse get boxed in. Just don't use it on any limbs stuck on power lines, or to cut new trails.

    RECAP:

Today was a great day; thanks to everyone for coming out. I think we had 15 vehicles out there.

Apologies to everyone because we couldn't complete the original drive plan, due to the guy on Summit RD kicking us out. Thanks to @TTT for the taking the lead and re-routing us to Buzzard Lagoon since we couldn't take Ormsby Cutoff.

We lost Steve (not sure what his user is on here @chizzie ?) on Buzzard after the lady kicked us out. I hope you're alive Steve and not being eaten by meth heads.

Thanks to @LG Taco for hosting and cooking after the drive. Anyone who didn't go, missed out on good food.

    HIGHLIGHTS
    • Guy on Summit RD telling us to leave because we're "tearing up shit" by driving on the road
    • @TTT randomly seeing his 3 cyclist buddies on Buzzard Lagoon and giving them a ride
    • My CB bouncing around in my cab and switching to Channel 34 instead of 4, so I was talking to myself like an idiot for half an hour
    • The lady at the end of Buzzard Lagoon blocking us off and telling us we need to leave because we're "tearing up the road." She said there's "a place in Allister (she meant Hollister) for you mud boggers." She said she was gonna talk to every truck and get their license plates but gave up after she realized there's a bajillion of us. She then took a home video of us on her Iphone after she finally moved and let us pass.
    • Trip tip and bread, courtesy of @LG Taco
I didn't really get to take any good pictures, but @SCVReady 's buddy, James, got some good ones.

Also, for anyone interested. The Pismo trip that @ninja89 and @Eskimmer are planning, has been relocated to Hollister. Much closer and we'll have more time to wheel. Thread update pending.
