If you haven't heard they've secretly made a sequel to Cloverfield. (Youtube trailer below).

If you watched Cloverfield and followed the hype leading up to it all you likely know there were a ton of weird little hints and Easter Eggs sprinkled all over the internets, and I'm hoping they do it again for the sequel.

So, this is the thread to provide links to the clues, discuss the clues, or discuss theories you have about the new film.

That looks good, but I love Mary Elizabeth Winstead so of course it looks good.

I'll watch this. I didn't care for the cinematography of Cloverfield. I got motion sickness.

It doesn't looks like it won't be that style of filming, the trailer is all typical filming style so no motion sickness this time.

There is a big easter egg hunt going on to see if the viral marketing is going to happen, doesn't appear to be yet.

The closest thing found was the website www.3-11-16.com appeared to have illustrations for making your own bombshelter. It did nothing when I started the thread but some time since then and now it's been purchased and the illustration was added, a lot of skepticism and talk that it's fan made and not official.

Bought Cloverfield from Amazon and watched it Friday with my son, girlfriend, and her son over the weekend. I was the only one that had seen it. They had so many questions and all I could do was say "there was random shit all over the internet in 2008 that answered some questions and created more"

Ha, they shoulda been there in 08.

Goodman's character is given with some more info. Then on a whim someone from Reddit did a search for a website based on his shirt. And the rabbit hole kept getting deeper.

I liked it. Lots of suspense and twists.

    What a pos movie

The credits have more screen time than the aliens do.

I wasn't there for the aliens or a monster, I was there to see what was going on in the bunker. To me it was good.

I just don't think it should have been linked to Cloverfield. On it's own I would have enjoyed it without expectations.

You can hardly say it was linked at all. It shares a word in the title and some staff, that's about it.

Different monsters, different location, different characters. To me, it's just the creation of a genre so to speak.
