    I'm no expert, but I understand what others have been saying. That is, you can't raffle/gift/lottery/provide anything that requires people to provide money if you are a for profit entity - it is gambling under the law. I'm saying this not to bring anyone down, on the contrary, giving away product is awesome. Just have to do it the right way.

    The neighbor in my office building ran an online raffle and the feds raided his office, guns drawn, handcuffed him, took him in, raided his home, seized his bank accounts, computers and truck.

    McDonald's does kind of the same thing with the Monopoly game. They put "no purchase nessesary" in the rules (fine print), probably for legal reasons. But Good luck getting game pieces without buying a large fry or drink. Maybe doing this would avoid any legal issues for the giveaway. Do "no purchase nessesary" but attach the entry tickets to the boxes of the products he's selling on his website. I have no clue how legit it would be. Just a thought.
