    I will be purchasing 4 new tires to replace the original Dunlop 245 75 16's with 27 K miles. Use the truck in all conditions here in NW WY to hunt, fish, ATV etc... Looked at Hercules & Yokohoma light trucks in original size for $236 & $208 each with total install, road side and rotate package. Most BLM and Nat'l Forest roads are very rocky and have already lost two atv tires to sharp rocks. Any advice on what works well under all conditions without mods??? Opinions on oversizing to a 265? Thanks folks.

    Are you airing down when off roading? I run 25psi off road & 40psi on road.
    Curently running stock Dungflop 245/75/16
    265/75/16 will be a little over 1" taller & a little over 3/4" wider and will fit without a lift.
    My next tires someday P265/75/16 Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10

    For all conditions I vote Duratracs. They come in an E load but they're gonna be heavy as hell.

    alot of metal, small engine, decent travel.
    caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
    duratracs are a great tire if you plan on using in all conditions like said above, especially snow.

    10 ply tires are awesome offroad, but it will ride like a dump truck around town.

    I ordered Duratracs when my stock tires wore out. I hunt a very rough, mainly rocky, ranch in Texas. Discount tire accidently put on a set of Goodyear MTRs. These tires have a kevlar sidewall and are tough. I got to run them for a week and could of kept them at the same price as the Duratracs. I have run all kinds of mudders and would put these right at the top. If I did not do so much highway driving I would have kept them. They are heavy. I got 18.8 mpg running 75 on the hwy. The Duratracs are much quieter and smoother. Airing down a tire is a very bad idea in rocky country. That is a good way to cut a sidewall. Airing down works good in the soft stuff. If anything in rock, cactus, mesquite, & stumps I would air up.
