I just purchased 285/70/17 toyo tires for my '10 ,all the research i saw said these would fit with no ploblems. I trimmed the wells, but they still rub on extreme unlevel turns. Is this normal or should i use my warranty and go with a diff.size?

Some wheel and suspension specs will help.

What wheels? OE or something else? Is the rubbing where a wheel spacer would lessen/end it?

Someone who can actually answer your question should want to know that info.
