Does it need to be a gift, what about an experiance? Evening hot air balloon rides are very memorable/romantic and girls tend to love them. Many of these usually include dinner with your crew and fellow passengers afterward. There could be lots of standing, which may/may not be comfortable for her depending on how the pregnancy is going. If you are looking for a physical gift, I agree with diamonds.

 

Spa day and make her a wonderful dinner. And top it all off with a neckless with a charm with both kids birthstones.

 

You gave her the ability to produce a child 6 months ago, call that an early anniversary gift...
Or you could tell her in 3 months she’ll actually sail away on an 18+ year cruise surrounded by a money hungry shark that throws up on you at the weirdest of times for the first 8 months, cries every time you breathe, and makes you wonder why you still even own an alarm clock.

 

And like others have said, add in a fancy bauble and you are "golden".

My spouse and I agreed after anniversary #2 we would always get gifts for US on our anniversary.

We got a really nice TV for anniversary #3 (we are both men so we dig that shit... ladies not so much sometimes).

Last year we did a brewery road trip.

This year we did a fishing excursion.

Year 10 is next year. Gotta think bigger on that one.

We try to keep it something the both of us will use and enjoy since the day is supposed to be about us as a couple.

The other holidays you can get gifts just for one another.

Pool together and buy yourselves something you need.

King size bed idea is a good one if you don’t have one.




For the guys who said baby stuff or a mini van... you are clearly not married (or will not be long).
You NEVER buy something for a woman she needs as a gift or a gift thats not really for her its for the baby.

 

We are in the market for a new ride... but she’s dead set on a CR-V. mini van would result in those alimony/child support payments @Tacomamike mike was talking about! Haha.

All good points. The wife and I usually do trips together for our anniversary, because travel is what’s really important to her... but since baby #2 is due in a few months it requires more critical thinking.

She’s not much of a jewelry person, so the standard 10 year diamond thing is out.

 

I would not make it a vehicle. Those are things you get someone because they need them anyways not as a gift.

Buy her the CRV anyways. Think of something else for the gift.


PS minivans are awsome and very practical for 2+ kids. That new CRV is going to be door ding galore in 2-3 years when the kids learn to open the doors. Just sayin...

 

Yea, we’re picking up the new ride in December. I’d love a minivan, I drove one during college to haul around equipment and they’re amazing. She’s a hard no though.
