I am closing in on 100,000 miles on my 05 Tacoma without any troubles until now. I am not sure if it is my drivetrain or my transmission. I am not sure how to discribe it. The truck is going fine then drags when I let up on the gas it stops. It is also making an unusual noise. Sounds like a treefrog in the cab. Any suggestions?

Have you changed your rear diff fluid and transmission fluid on schedule? I'd start with that and go from there. Also check your carrier bearing on the driveshaft

Sounds like a bad u-joint. Forget about greasing it, just replace.

Funny you mention that. Just yesterday I met up with my old Photo teacher and saw his 1942 Jeep(I believe, plus or minus a year or two maybe) and it's all original except a few little doo dads like a siren. I was so amazed that everything still worked like a charm. The engine was rebuild in like the 60's or something and that's it. Freaking incredible if you ask em. I wish Toyota made vehicles like they used to be made.

Just turned over 99000 on my 05 DC OR. Ive been looking at what I need to do as far as maintanence as well. Im for sure doing plugs and tranny. How do I tell if my U joints arent ok?

And, Ive felt like my truck has been that way ever since I bought it 60000 mi ago, when you let off the gas it stops, as hes describing above. No tree frogs here though.

Tree frogs are ok, for the most part. It's the Bull frogs you need to watch out for. They tear shit up like it's a china shop, and make a mad charge at you if you wear anything red into the truck.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Did you solve the problem yet? If so what did you do? I have a similar problem with said treefrogs.
