That's right. Over 1000 LED's in this tail light build. Call me crazy, but overkill is my middle name. Figured you guys might like to see some pics during the process

Break down on number of lights(per side) ;
Brake panel: 180 LEDs
Turn Signal panel: 250 LEDs
Side Raptor strip; 80 LEDs
TOTAL: 510 per side

obligatory finished pic:

Start with some plain stock TRDs;

Opened up. Too much chrome..must go;

masked and Tinted the stock Clear lens:

Matte black buckets

Turn signal was fabricated from Radiantz "ZFLEX" led strips. Then a custom amber acrylic went over the top

With lens;

Custom made led Brake board installed

Reassembled and all sealed up!

1K Build next to OEM limited, and OEM TRD

By now you are probably asking what happened to the reverse lights?!
In order to have the brightest turn signal, I had sacrifice the reverse light..but it's ok They are still there, just reassigned to the Baja S2's in the bumper.

What did you use for the raptor side strip? Did you have to do anything to the housing to get the led strip to fit with the lens?
