    Hi guys.

I am in the process of slowly updating aging parts on my '10 DCSB Sport. I just put in a pair of Billy 5100's in the rear and got the TSB leaf changed last year. I plan on getting a pair of 5100's with OME 883 spring and spacer for taco lean in the front and an AAL for the rear.

Are there any other parts or bushings that are you would recommend checking or changing out in the front while the truck is in the air and the suspension is off? I dont have the $$ for UCA yet.

If you have a link to a forum that exist already Ill take that also.
    Thanks for the advice.

You don't buy a truck for its fucking fenders!
    2.5" lift w/35's
And ball joints and control arm bushings also. And don't listen to dick holes telling you you're too poor to maintain your truck

You're pushing 10 years on the truck. I'd replace all the tedious minutia (that you touch) while you are in there, boots, corroded bolts etc. The sway bar end links are going to fight you coming out.

but on a thread related note, check lower (whole assembly is easier and just as expensive as just bushings) and upper ball joints, bushings, even sway bar bushings. just cuz they are easy and right there. sway bar links. normal nuts and bolts for rounded over bits and rust.

I'm doing a once over on my front end right now, and my rear shocks as well.

My previous stock shocks went ~70k before I swapped them out for a take-off set from a 2018 TRD OR. When I had the truck in the alignment shop afterwards the tech recommended replacing my Lower Control Arm alignment cams as they were well seized from spending winters rolling through salty roads.

Fast forwards 3 years and the truck is sitting at ~115k. I too am going 5100 but with a OME 885 spring. I'm going to replace the LCA cams at the same time with these:

Moving on... @TuTacos2Go you just made my blocked list!!!!

Oh hell to the yah you can. There are some great threads about it in the 2'nd gen section.
Direct fit. Nets you ~21" from center of hub to bottom of fender on the front.....so maybe an 1" or so of lift depending on your configuration.

Did you just get a stock trd suspension from a3rd gen or where looking for a specific suspension from a 3rd gen?

I just did my sway bar, and tie rod end links, they are relatively inexpensive, and did away with a good bit of my steering wheel shake/vibe!

Now I’m looking into the intermittent steering shaft to get rid of the clunkiness in my front end. Might consider that as well.

Your gains will only be seen if you source a 3'rd gen TRD OR suspension. And then it will only be a slight lift in the front, you wont see anything in the rear unless...maybe you're going from a 2+ Overload leaf pack to the newer 3+1 Overload leaf pack (TSB style). Yes...the leafs too will be a direct fit.

Ball joints, cheap if you do the work yourself and probably the most important thing on the front end for safety

Thanks for the useful information from all of you. I barely got to read all of the banter before it got deleted. That was just starting to get good. Lol.

I'm not new to TW or to assholes so it's nothing new. They exist everywhere.

I will try to check out a lot of those little parts you guys mentioned.

I also saw this post on my homepage, trd suspension fs.

I just semi-shot gunned an '06 front end (75K miles). New lower ball joints, sway bar bushings, end links, inner and outer tie rods. Next is upper ball joints as soon as I feel comfortable with researching the C press adapters that I'll need. I'll do the LCA and UCA bushings probably next year. New 5100 shocks were installed almost a year ago.
None of the above parts were completely worn out I believe but the rubber was old and it was evident that most of the grease had come out of the ball joints. All I can say is what a difference in the ride. Totally removed all the clunking and noise.
Fortunately I was able to perform all the work myself or most of it would have to wait until later, much later!
If you were in my neck of the woods I'd help you get it done. Good luck!
