I got mine with around 140k miles for less than 7,000. It runs great, I love it so you'll be fine if you have 10k budget.

I paid 7200 this past december. 02 double cab sr5 trd with 3 inch lift and brand new pro comp 285s. It had 166,000 on it, but hey that sounded alot better than the 261k+ miles my chevy had. everything was breaking on it.

That's what I did, I couldn't find one in my price range here, so I looked In Cali and when my dad went for a business trip, he drove it back. Very clean truck with 132,000 when he left Cali TRD SR5 and new tires for $9500 Including gas.

That sound just about like my truck. White 01 DC Prerunner with TRD and 120k got it from the original owner for 7k last year.

Great thread for someone wanting to get an idea of what's out there and prices paid. FWIW, I just picked up an 01 Extra Cab 4X4 TRD with newish BFG A/T tires, 163K, looks like new in and out.

P/O wanted $9500 and I talked him down to $8100 siting the likelihood of it needing a new clutch/seals etc. And that discount turned out to be just about right, and it did need a new clutch. Drives really nice now and I love the way the "lunar mist" paint looks when it's been taken care of.

Heading off to wheel and camp in Death Valley and ski in Mammoth next week and I'm confident that the Tacoma is just coming into its own . . . love it!
