i have recently broken the 100k mark. I'm at 100,388 to be exact. I had the 100k service done at the dealer at 92,700. They didn't change the belt because allegedly, it "looked fine", and they also claim that they don't do the diff oil either. With that being said. Don't take it to a dealer. The only reason I did is because I lived in an apartment complex at the time, and per the lease, you weren't allowed to work on your truck. Now I'm back in Philly, and I have zero issue doing it on the street, or going up to my parents house in central jersey. There are also a plethora of members that are willing to pitch in, live and in person, hence why I joined the forum. I'll look here for advice, before I trust the word of any dealer or shop.

If youre unsure of the maintenance history, do it all. This way you know for certain its done, and up to date.

It's fine just to clean with some brake cleaner. They're nice metal ones, not the cheapo plastic pieces.

Grease your driveshaft zerks, check the air filter, plugs, oil (engine, front/rear diff), alignment, give it a good bath.

OP, I'd change the fluids (motor oil, front and rear diff and transfer case, brake fluid, coolant flush, transmission drain/fill), grease the driveline, new air and cabin filters, replace spark plugs, replace serpentine belt, replace wiper blades, and check water level in battery if it's not a sealed unit.

I wouldn't. Do some more research on this specific to our trucks. If it ain't broke dont fix it.

100K plugs my butt. Mine were gapped 0.100 when I did my tuneup. That's so out of spec it isn't funny. Ran great though. Yes, do your tune up. It's like taking your truck on a date.

Agreed that a flush is not a good idea but a drain/refill is in my opinion.

oil change, differential/transfer case oil change, transmission fluid drain and fill, spark plugs (clean throttle body while at it), coolant flush, change motor and cabin air filter, and grease driveshaft zerks.

Thats what I plan on doing when I hit 100k on my 2.7. Currently at 85k

    A lot
Only buy OEM for this. I've found if you call the local dealership and speak with the parts manager they will usually give you some for free.

I was wondering the same thing when my truck reached 100k, and ended up doing a few things between 100k and 105k. Made a big difference overall.

    - Replaced the fluid in both differentials, transfer case, and transmission (Royal Purple in transmission)
    - New spark plugs (NKG IX Iridium)
    - New duralast gold battery
    - Replaced the upstream and downstream oxygen sensors (upstream failed and HAD to be replaced)
    - Painted my undercarriage with magnet paint chassis saver. Sanded off minor rust before painting.
    - Rotated my tires

I have always done my oil changes every 5000k with mobile 1. Grease the u joints on the driveshaft every oil change as well.

    Nice profile pic :crapstorm:
