I do put 91 in mine, but not for a performance gain. I just don't want ethanol sitting in my tank for extended periods of time. I only drive the truck maybe two times a week and sometimes it sits for two weeks without being driven. I really should put a battery tender on it

I think 91 still has ethanol. 91 means octane rating

You could try and run Hydrazine , back the late 60's and into the early 70's NHRA banned this fuel from competition . You could always tell when a car used this fuel as it made a green flame from the headers

It's not the octane, but the fuel. Octane has nothing to do with energy. I do burn quite a bit of 100LL, but not in the Tacoma.

Racing fuels have more energy because they are oxygenated and/or use different chemicals that are not legal for mogas. They have higher octane ratings because they are usually used in high compression engines.

And, if it's not mogas, it's illegal on the street and if it's in your tank when you take it to the dealership for a blown head gasket, don't expect the warranty to cover it.

Most pumps in ND that dispense 91 are clearly marked non ethanol. Apparently common sense is still alive and people got tired of dumping shit fuel into their toys and machines

I'm in Denver and have burned 85 octane in my 95 T100 for all of it's 230k miles with no issues and she still runs. Doing the same with my 17 Tacoma. Only time I will run 87 or 91 is in a turbocharged engine.

Can someone help me.... if I run 130 octane non-ethanol fuel in my Tacoma, can I run 35's on OEM wheels and suspension without rubbing?

Damn, the OP answered the question, “is it better to burn out, or fade away?” Obviously with high octane.
