11/17 Back way to Crown King day trip / possible 11/16 camping

Got plans with Stefen Sunday otherwise I'd be in. But I'll save my next trip for a hard trail. It's been too long

CB's are almost a must on runs like this. It's always good to have a radio in the front and in the back of the pack to make sure we all communicate if someone has to stop or gets hung.

I always use the rule of "I'm going to keep moving if I see you in my rear-view". As soon as the truck behind me goes out of sight, I wait.

 

I always have mine in my truck. So of course I'm definitely bringing mine. Its not well tuned but I'll try to make it better today

 

Well I'd loan you my SWR meter, but someone from TW borrowed it on a meet a while ago and never returned it, and I can't for the life of me remember who it was. Karma's a bitch though.

X2, I have a wilson whip that's been working good so far. I also bring just some cheap handheld 2 way radios that actually work quite well (my buddy with the xterra doesn't have any com yet).

 

I don't have any current Communications myself

no biggy just don't be at the end I have a tendency to take up the rear anyway

Hey Dunk, should we change the meet place to the bagel shop across the street from the gas station instead? Looks like a few people are going to eat breakfast over there anyways. That way, folks can either gas up before bagels or right after.

And did anyone have plans for lunch up there? I could do a supermarket run and pick up some sandwich items, drinks etc.

i highly recommend not going to the saloon for food, it is not very good.
the restraunt up on the hill on the right side when you come into town is the place you guys need to go! it is awesome, the best food ever. and they have a bunch of cool things in there, if you ask they will take you on a tour of the old engine room!!
