That one up on the hill is called The Mill or something like that. They took an old lumber mill and turned it into a restaurant. It's dirty as hell in there but it's a cool place. Big deck outside, too. The only issue with them is that they close in the winter months and I don't know if they're still open right now. Once the main tourist season is open, they lock up. The saloon is always open though and should be the backup.

The Mill has some amazing green chili pork chili. Big ass bowl of colon cleanser.

If we get on the trail by 8, and we keep moving with no break-downs, we should be in CK for lunch. No reason we can't be up there at noon or 1 at the latest. Eat lunch, then hit the road back to the I-17.

99% sure that I'm going to make it. Told the fiance about it and she was interested. Kids are teenagers so we can leave them at home for a day. I'll just spend time with my son on Saturday all day and he'll be fine.

Just checked CK weather and they are expecting rain today and tomorrow. Light chance, but up there the weather is different than down here so we might get some mud to play in!

    Just checked they're open!

So do you know the way pretty well? I had it all mapped out last time but wasn't 100% on the route back to I-17. I imagine they're are signs too, sounds pretty heavily traveled.

    Wooot! :mudding:

That's nuts! Well done hope to see you, although don't worry if you're too beat up.

Sounds good I wanna hear about it - I've only been there once when I was stock. Any pics?

I'm still stuck in the hospital for what looks to be a good chunk of Sunday too. No signs of heart attack or aortic issues so that's a relief. Cardiologist coming in the AM to review everything and get me in for a stress test. What a shitty way to spend the weekend.
