I have a client selling a 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4.0L V6 with 4"lift, over sized tires, after market exhaust and intake. It does have a few scratches that look like they can be buffed out. The truck has been smoked in. Should I scoop this up at $11,200?

hmm sounds like a beat up pre-runner.

sounds a bit high considering the interior damage and most likely a crap lift.

standard lifts are 3 inches and lower unless you start combining like say a spindle life, blocks, spacers and the dreaded evil body lifts.

If it was a 4x4 in good shape then yes $12k is good.

its a 4x4 with a 4 inch lift.. ugh... you have a whole new world of problems there.

4x4 cv angles should not exceed 2.5 inch of lift.

Is a drop bracket lift of some kind?

    Salvage title?
    How many owners?
    service records?
    Toyota TSB's done?
    Frame or surface rust?

Also keep in mind that since the tires are larger and have been for most likely a long time, the actual truck mileage is going to be way off on the odometer.

Buying a used vehicle is a pain in the ass but worth it if you do all the homework and ask all the questions.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Your call man, I personally wouldn't buy a lifted or modified truck from anybody unless they had records of every single last thing done to it. I'd rather add that stuff on my own so I know it's done right.

Price isn't bad though for that mileage and being a second gen double cab 4.0 4WD at that. I paid more for that for my 04 double cab with slightly less miles.

Throw up some pics. Not matter what, it sounds like a good deal though.
