    For those interested in running higher-power gear with an inverter, why not buy a higher-wattage unit? In Canada you can buy 1000 W inveters for a couple of hundred bucks. The price is obviously higher, but if you want to run power tools you need a bigger inverter or a portable generator...

    i have seen someone use it and put a blow up santa in the back and turned the inverter on when at a stop light and the santa would pop up. it was pretty funny

    yes and no. The outlet only comes with the truck when you get the TRD package.

    I was planning on plugging in my laptop and running the power cord in thru the beer chucker back window. So that when we are on road trips we can watch movies on the laptop in the truck and not worry about running out of batteries.

    Are you guys saying that plug doesn't make enough juice for my laptop?????

    Check on your power supply. You shouldn't have any issues. I bet most laptops are about 60 watts

    If the power supply only gives you Amps, you can multiply that number times 110V to get watts.
