    Yeah, I know that this lens is pretty low quality, but you get what you pay for. You can get a similar Nikkor lens for a higher price. And in this case, (correct me if I'm wrong) 113tac wants more zoom so I'm assuming that he won't be used for macro too often.

    Yeah I agree but fast is not the only answer. Yeah sure it's going to better in low light over my 70mm-300mm f4-5.6 but I would buy mine over that lens any day.

    I shoot a lot under crappy stadium lights and other low light places where i need the speed to capture action so the 2.8 works better for me.

    That's a nice lens. I have a 50mm f/1.4 but someone dropped it and now the focus gets jammed.

    man im pissed, it was so dark in there that i had to shoot at like 1/4 seconds and they were blurry:mad: ill post up the one that i like a little later.....

    That's where a good fast lens comes in. i just shot a Fashion show in San Jose and forgot my 50mm f1.4 and had to shoot with my 70-300mm f4-5.6 with my strobe :mad:. If your shooting at 1/4 all your images are going to be blurry unless it's not moving and your camera is on th a tripod. if you don't have a fast lens your going to have to use flash to speed up that shutter.
