11th Annual Lucas Oil Off Road Expo,

Went Saturday. Had a great time. My advice, go early and bring water to drink. There was lots to see there.

The memorial was quite moving. The driver (Sloppy) was there as were many famous Baja drivers. They want to place this at the site (the Rockpile), but are having difficulties getting BLM approval.


HOT! The now infamous clothing line. I tried to see how far down those tattoos went, but didn't want to get arrested.


CRAZZY! Supercharged small block in this street legal hellion.


Twin-turbos in this small block monster.


These two were selling something... Car parts I think.


Miss Beautiful and runner-up. I would settle for second place.


Heck I guess I'd even settle for 4th.


Note the agility of this crawler. The front end's twisted one way, the back the other, yet the cab is level.


It really takes 3 people to drive this one. It was wide too.


The legendary Walker Evans. Very accessible. I remember seeing him race 20 years ago. He was the guy with the helicopter flying over him.

Got to the show. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the photos... I was going today, but had too much fun with the gang yesterday four wheeling East County... resting and truck washing on the menu... Oh, and watching the Chargers beat the Riders, of course!

 

I hate the raiders but the only team the chargers can beat is themselves.

 

had a blast today... so glad our booth was indoors where it was much cooler than outside...

we had our table within the F&L Race Fuel booth in Building 4...





then our models for the day showed up...



then we convinced the models to enter the Miss Off Road Expo beauty pageant... unfortunately, they didn't win, but us guys at the expo sure did...
