12” Subwoofer Box Idea for 2002 Taco

$1200 in mids and tweets?

Do you have pics of the 13’ shallow mounts or ZR components ?

 

I thought there was more room then that. I tried to find a picture I came across on here that looked like there was some kind of compartment behind the speaker. Like you, I would like to keep it stock looking. Found this one which says it has a top mount depth of 2 3/4 inches. Not sure how much sticks out from the top.

A buddy just built this box for me. The taco its installed in isn't mine, but it is in my taco now. Two of those low profile pioneer premier 2s. No storage or seating loss. I like it.

 

Should of put cup holders in the top!

Yep, they're the pioneer premier 2s. I still have the original box dimensions that were drawn up. Not sure how close by buddy followed them, but if i can do anything to help, let me know. I'm really loving the depth of sound I have now.

Not a bass junkie or anything. So I'm not putting a god awful amount of power to them or anything. It's actually a hand-me-down 500 watt kicker amp. The thing is cute but, in my opinion, a good power match to the subs. Let me see if i can get some links in the next edit.

Anyone mount them in the back where the 5x7's go? @JLee was going to do a fiberglass write up for those back corners on the 1st gen but I'm not sure cuz I can't find it. I would like to see them mounted out of the way back there. Everything I see is in that gap in the middle of the back folding seats.

 

From what i understand, those pockets aren't deep enough (maybe that's why its a fiberglass write up?)

 

I previously posted an example of a 6.5 with a depth of 2 3/4". Is there less room then that?
