I would invest that into stock market. Double money when market recovers than mod her up.

$12,000 C? I guess I'd get one of those low-pro front bumpers, or maybe a Softopper.

The way our dollar has been, I suggest getting yourself a new shift knob.

Those OK Expedition skids out of Kelowna that someone mentioned are a good idea. I put some on my wife's FJ recently and they're very well made. As long as aluminum is your thing anyway.

You have some local shops that do nice armour. The BCToyota 4x4 Facebook page is full of examples.

This right here, United airlines was $80 just a month ago... its now $20. Buy now, in 6-8 months you will have 4 times as much money to spend.

With the upcoming "stimulus", people who dont really need the money will be putting it away for a future vacation. Once this virus blows over, travel will open up and people who got their trips canceled will storming the airports.

I like this post, but I'm thinking it's pretty much wasted in this thread.

This. Unless you're buying canadian parts, wait for exchange rates to go back down. In the last week alone your money went from $9,000 USD to $8,000.

I agree. The work done on those skids are damn nice and I'm a welder/fabricator by trade.
It's nice to see some BC people stepping up to make things, especially when our dollar is now officially in the shitter.

Haha not really. I want what I want. Sure, I browse forums but I do not ask how to spend 12k or any amount for that matter. I look up reviews based upon what product in looking. Weird flex, but ok.

    Canada Eh!
OP, according to your profile your truck is a 6MT. I’d say skip the re-gear unless you’re going real big ..35’s +

You already have 4.30’s. Your first gear is nice and low, and 6th is much lower than the AT. If anything go with a tacobox!

I realized I never answered your original post, I got sidetracked by all the fun people and their super helpful responses.

Put some good tires on it and some rock sliders. Then take it out. Take it out again. Take it out a third time. What is it missing? You have your answer.

I'm being serious, in case that's not obvious. I added ventvisors because I like having the windows cracked in the rain. I added ditch lights because we often get to our site after dark and I want to be able to flood the area where I'm setting up, also because driving to the site is often on trails littered with livestock or the occasional wildlife and I'd like to be able to see them. I have the rock sliders because I thought I was going to do the Rubicon immediately after buying the truck, because that's what you do, right? I'm never doing the Rubicon. I have an onboard compressor because I air up and down a lot. Dog hammock because dog. Everything has a because I learned while driving the truck.
