12/29/11 - NorCal Meet & Greet - Oakland

I was talking to MJ about it at Reed's last week but I figured couldn't make it. Jason text me this morning. Hopefully I'm not the only one eating at 7. Maybe others are coming late too, sorry didn't read the entire thread.

 

Just leaving my place now so I'll be there 7ish also. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

It was really nice to finally meet some of you in person, great to put faces and real names to forum names. One of the surprises was seeing a couple of friends who I have not seen for a long time, one of them I haven't seen for years! I had no idea that they were associated in a long distance sort of way with TW. Also found out that one of the members here is the son of a long time family friend.

 

This is what babytruck wants to be when he grows up.

 

Nice to see everyone again, and meet some new faces. Lots of BSing and good food.

 

Hey Eric and Lucas, I wasn't trying to be reckless but I don't know if you noticed that little beemer full of ghetto trash, he forced himself in between me and eric when we got on 13, i went to get around him and he jumped in front of me and brake-checked me so i tore up the road and they were flipping me off, the must have been six idiots packed into that car, I just shined them on, it was a bad situation if i chose to do anything to them, i just wanted to get away. If I checked them or wrecked them, some of them didn't even have seat belts on, it would have been a mess for sure.
But Hey! fun meet! let's do it again!

No, I would have had to spend the rest of the evening explaining to CHP how and why they ended up overturned into the center median, at least one of them didn't have seat belts on, they looked like kids really. It was stupid.

Nice little turn out we had. I counted 14 trucks total. Thanks everyone for making it out. Good times shooting the shit.

And when I got home, I found a little package by the door with chinese writing all over it... DDM! My ballast is in! I got some HIDs for the fogs too. Some of us were thinking about going to Hollister this Saturday, but I think I'll be doing little mods here and there instead

 

lol I'm just happy to see other tacoma owners and talk trucks, they are barely any in my town.

nice! did you go with the 3k in the fogs? I got the ddms in my fogs 3k too. But I need to aim the housings down. Hella Glare right now.
