    back to bone stock.
My step dad did this. We took him quail hunting when he was suffering from cancer. I jump back into the truck ( my bros Chevy) and just see this cloud of fuzzy fabric floating in the air. Wtf? He was so embarrassed he didnt say anything for awhile. I figured it out when I saw piles of insulation at my feet. We hugged him and felt blessed he didn't blast us, or himself. I fixed it myself with a friend. Chevy duramax. We didn't have anything but a hole in the floor board. Nothing else. Friend welded the hole. I POR 15 coated it. And cut a piece of fabric out of the carpet where it didn't matter and glued it into place. My stepdad passed a little bit later. I'm glad my brother and I didn't bust his chops.

Fix the cat. Patch the rest?

Gotta say it. Long time ago in Colorado my friends where out hunting driving in the fields, and BAM, shot gun blast through the floor. No injuries thank goodness. Even 35 years ago, we harped and bitched at them for loaded weapons in hand in the cab, come on man.

OP, did it look like this?

    http://youtu.be/Sn8x8Gc0Pkg?t=49s

The sheet metal, even on the floor, is pretty thin. I can see that happening, easily.

I dispute this, no way is a Ranger 'better' than a Tacoma! :D

sorry, I'm getting a little frustrated. accidental discharges and negligent discharges are two completely actions. i don't mind the story, but get that part straight for yourself and others please.

I assume you have insurance let them pay for it. By the way getting into to a vehicle with a loaded shot gun tells me someone should never be allowed to own a gun.

His homeowners liability insurance may cover it. I would check. Liability is usually $0 deductible. Mine would cover my damage to another person's property.

Make him sell whatever he needs to in order to make things right. Anybody that stupid has the earning potential of a quadriplegic gerbil. Then get a new friend before the moron breaks something else or kills you.
