A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
We have the exact same setup on the relay and mine has been operating flawlessly for 6 months. I just double checked the hazards with the truck off to see if it drifted.

Instead of 10 ohm 25 turn, a 5 or 2 Ohm multi turn would provide greater resolution for the resistance needed.

Yes it would, but I haven't been able to find anything lower than 10 ohm. Do you know of a source?

That looks correct; Note that 3157CK is needed in the front, but a normal 3156 in the back; at least for 2005- 2011. Not sure if anything changes for 2012-2015.

The rear turn signal socket only has 2 terminals, so CK or non CK doesn't matter for the rear.

Yes, you are correct about the front. It must be CK.

I threw in .15 ohm resistors and it was too much resistance so I was getting the single flash.
Before I could get in to fix it they stopped flashing all together and even with changing the resistors I cannot get the flash to work

The hazards also don't work. Any ideas?

Daytime running lights are lights that come on with the truck running and the parking brake released, they stay on all the time and you can't turn them off until the truck is turned off. They make it easier for other drivers to see you when you drive in the shadows or cloudy days. The turn signal lights will light up if you have daytime running lights.

    Aloha,
Used just two leads, cut off outer one closest to trimmer. Works great! All LEDs (DRL, signal)

    Aloha,
Mod is to flasher relay, won’t help with headlight conversion. If you’re thinking about modding the decoder for DRL, or turn signal....if it works, post please!
Past posts showed a relay with two tunable resistors that replaced the two original wire shunts.

I'm not going to try and mess with the 18 pin relay. I'm going to use plug in resistors instead of modding the relay for led headlights. Also I think the switchback LEDs are awesome.

?? No mod necessary for LED headlights, or additional resistors. Headlights have nothing to do with flasher//DRL module.

Yes I understand. My apologies I'm referring to the running lights/drl lights. I already have led headlights.

Update: my setup is still working flawlessly. I’ve towed a few trailers, and the added load does not seem to have any effect on the relay.

The added load of trailer lights does not go through the flasher. Trailer lights are operated through their own fuse, and their own relay run by the flasher output.

I didn’t know that! Explains the flawless operation

I honestly expected to not flash with a trailer hooked up.
