12V Plug flush mount in Bed

I'm going to install a 12v plug in the bed but I would like to flush mount it in the bedside beside the ac plug or above the storage compartment. I found this sticky

but nothing that shows anyone actually drilling into the composite bed. I assume that it is pretty open in there but has anyone done this before? pictures?

 

Search about adding extra D rings. People just drill right through the bed with no problems.

 

Remove the screws that hold the cubby in pull the cubby box out drill appropriately sized hole. install plug attach wires put cubby back in re-install screws.

i have put one flush on the pass side....ill see if i have a pic

 

I put one on the drivers side at the back. I'll take a pic for you. I used it to run a cooler last summer when i took a trip out east.
