The frame rail is easy to hide wires in and you won't need to drill anything into cab. Just zip tie and wrap in wire loom. I bought a pack of trailer wire in multi colors for extra circuits like this so I don't get them mixed up at the battery.

I'd run a wire maybe a 12-14 ga all the way back from battery with it's own fuse on battery side. You can cut into bed or into door or cubby storage and mount a plug. That way you can use the light even when the truck is turned off. Optionally you can put a switch on it to turn it off when not in use or If you were worried about battery drain you might be able to find an inline low voltage shut off.

I ran a 4 ga wire to a blue sea panel with USB and 12v plug and mounted that in a upper part of bed. When I get load of dirt I cover it and cubby doors with tape. I also run a compressor through same and it hides in my cubby. It has an on/off switch and I keep them off most of time.
