None, factory diff lockers are great.
I put a 12volt solutions remote starter in the wife's 2012 4Runner Limited. Works great. Install took about 30min.

Which Smart start did you go with? Also, can you show us where to plug the smartstart?

Which Version did you purchase...there is a online video showing exactly where all the connectors go to...that's if you have purchased the "plug and play" version..

I installed a v2 in about 15 min in freezing rain. It’s really simple.
I later took it apart and planned my layout better so I could reach the off switch without removing any panels (for service concerns).

    I’d buy it again.

I have a fortin and it’s basically the same thing. 70 bucks cheaper. Check 3rd gen classifieds.

Sorry, you have to hook up 2 wires. But the main stuff is plug and play.

I picked up the 12V back in November. No regrets. Plug and play is great, can reverse it if you need to without anyone knowing.

Blah blah blah gotta start your truck after you open your door. But did you have to walk outside to start it the first time?

Thanks 12v for the warm truck :proposetoast:

What's the range on the 12Volt Solutions with the factory remote?

Same as the all the other remote starters on here. Range of your factory remote. Maybe a few hundred feet.
