Hello everyone. Has anyone taken apart the new side mirrors on the new TRD Sport? I would like to black out just the light part but don't want to do it from the exterior. With all the mods I've found on here I figured someone might have tried this already. Thanks!

    Welcome!
From experience, mirrors are the hardest thing to get apart without breaking the glass or the tabs on the scalp.
Being that they're LED, I bet it's a sealed unit that won't come apart anyways. I'd hit it from the outside

    It's possible.

All you need to do is remove the cover, and that blinker housing is being held with 2 screws. Would recommending just using a tint type of film to black it out.

Forgot to mention. Ones you remove the 2 screws, you can easily unplug it and remove that piece.

There was a thread on here last week about the LED mirrors. From what I read these are really hard to disassemble without damaging something during the process. It's probably better to blackout from the outside. I am going to use Plasti Dip 'Smoke' on my turn signal mirrors.

Yeah... Might just do exterior lens smoke. Thanks!
