If you grew up driving without a clicker, you are likely still someone who pushes the button inside the car to lock it. Especially if you find "beep-beeping" cars to be obnoxious.

Having a spare key (somewhere non-obvious) saves your bacon when you push the button with your set of keys sitting on the seat because you answered your phone, opened some mail, or otherwise let your mind drift before you completed the "get out of car, put keys in pocket, then close door" ritual.

On my 1st Gen a Hide-a-Key saved my bacon so many times it's not funny. But on my '13 it's almost impossible to lock the keys in the car by accident.
