    Gentlemen,

I just bought a 2015 Taco, Sport. My 2013 had an ORV Mirror with Temperature and Compass.
When I realized that they were not there in the 15, I was disappointed. So, I pulled the Mirror out of the 13 and swapped it with the 15.
I then pulled out the sun-glass holder on the 15 and discovered a harness plug with power that matched the mirror.
Wallah :) this restored the ORV function and the Compass because the compass is built in to the mirror, but no temperature display :(
The dilemma is there is not a temperature sending wire for the mirror or wires for the back up camera any more because the Entune unit has it built in now.
I looked at the Toyota wiring for the 13 at the Dealer which differs from the 15 and figured out which plug point feed the mirror and installed a wire into the plug.
The question is where do I pick up signal for the temperature to the mirror? I believe on the 13 it used the AC temperature feed or something.
My goal is to restore the temperature display in the mirror because it is far more accurate than the HD radio delay feed.
I appreciate any help you guys can offer. I want to Thank Everyone in advance and wish Everybody a happy Holiday Season ;)

    Thank You,
    Kevin,

    PS
If one of you guys gets aftermarket Audio for Christmas and Has an Entune Head unit with Nav from a 2015 I will by it for $600.00 or ??

Contact Bobs Mirrors he may have the temp sensor that you need. I bought a new mirror from Bob that includes the compass and temperature readings. The kit came with the sensor and wiring to the mirror. Sure is a nice improvement to the truck.

From what I have read you can't pick up the temp sensor on the 2014+ trucks. The sensor that is in front of the radiator is for the AC system and feeds the ECU in a digital format or some sort of format other than a simple analog output to feed the readout. Your best bet is to add a temp sensor. It is very simple to install. Contact Bob in the above thread. He is the expert in these matters and is great to deal with.

Keep us updated! I went from a '13 to a '14 and was very disappointed. And I like the look of the oem comp/temp display on the 13 and down models more than the aftermarket ones.

Thank You to all who replied :)

I bought the truck and never even sat in it until driving away from the dealership,
it was then that I noticed the mirror functions missing and the clock :(
I was bummin so the dealer let me steal the mirror out of my 13.
I am not that forum literate and did not think to search, sorry.
Does anybody have contact info for Bobs mirrors?

    Thank You,
    Kevin :)

I went from a '13 to a '14 and the dealer transferred the mirror, I'm in the same boat as you! The temperature goes to the mirror through a connector that does not exist in a '14.

Temperature data comes from The Canbus comm network. There is a temp sensor behind the grille that connects through Canbus to the ECM for engine control just like <13., but no connector in the headliner for the mirror and Canbus.

Aftermarket is your only option, you cannot feed a sensor directly to the OEM mirror.

    Thank You,

    AMarkham40 and HotRod53,

    Hot Rod 53,

There is a plug that has power in the 15, in the headliner.
    .
I connected to it and got Compass and Auto Mirror on OEM swiped from my 2013.

Can I not run a wire with signal to the mirror from a sensor or something?

I kinda understood you answer and it might have been a clear "no" if so I apologize.

    Thanks
    Kevin :)

Kevin, yes the power is there as was the wire in my '14. The problem with the temp is that there is no Canbus plug. I was told that it was not possible and one person mentioned that there may be a plug somewhere near the glovebox.
