DoorDing, Take her with you, her noise may drown out the other. Between, you drive too fast, turn up the heat, turn down the heat, can I change the radio station, these seats make my back hurt, and you never listen to me, you'll never hear it again!

tsub345.. I'd be glad to help... Butler huh..... Finleyville here, I do occasional work at the VA up your way.

Mine sounds the same, I'm guessing people are just a little paranoid, but who knows.

Actually that 4runner noise isn't mine, just found it on youtube. I don't claim a vehicle with KU tags on it.

UPDATE..... Toyota has accepted my petition for Lemon law!!!

I have 2 options, total refund including all fees and taxes, or like replacement including all fees and taxes. If I choose refund, I have to pay .10 per mile for miles driven, it appears not to apply in the case of a replacement. Any additional changes to the vehicle will be at extra charge, in other words if I want to add something that I didn't have on the original truck, I have to pay for it.

The big question that was not addressed, at least not clear enough to me, is what happens to the permanently installed accessories that I can't swap (vent visors, door protectors, and my backup cam relocation wiring)? Who pays to swap my cap...which could actually be considered an associated cost. What about an option that is not on the 2014 that was on the 2013 like the temp in the mirror.... I'm thinking I'll get screwed on that one.

I have to return all original accessories supplied with the truck and the vehicle has to be without damage or previous damage. I also have to provide all payoff information.

All in all, I think its good news!

Good news, dude. Now you have options at least.

Glad to see Toyota addressed it in a timely manner.

    Best of luck to you.

I just got off CHAT with Toyota asking about vehicle options. As stupid as it sounds, that temp in the mirror is very important to me because of the miles that I drive. 2014 does not have an option to get temp in the mirror, it is only in an Entune plus or Entune premium radios. The stock radio is non-entune and does not have the weather APP capability. It will be interesting to see if or how this will be addressed. They will want me to pay for the Entune radio which I have no intension on doing, it is definitely NOT worth the upgrade price and borderline POS from what I hear.

Good news, man. Personally, I have the Nav with Entune plus and JBL, and I think it sounds better than the Bose "studio on wheels" that was in my Infiniti.

Yes, I know Bose is the high end of the low end in audio equipment and JBL ain't Bowers & Wilkins, but I'm pretty picky about my stereo sound (without being an all-out audiophile) and I like it.

You wanted a Tacoma for a reason. One bad truck does not make the manufacturer. I'd get another with the JBL Entune.

So get an inexpensive aftermarket thermometer with outside sensor and ask them to install it for you.

Also seems reasonable to ask them to install your cap on the new truck.

I dunno man. You're getting a new one model-year-newer truck with no miles at no charge. Yes - it's been a hassle. But once you get down to quibbling over door sill protectors - seems like you're picking at nits. Stay focused on the big picture.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Can't agree. He's kinda been through the ringer, and deserves everything he asks for, within reason. I'd cry right now if something happened to my truck, with all the time I've spent on it. We add the little things to make it better, but they add up. Plus I bought used at 20k, not new at 30 plus. Good luck OP in all of your wishes, we're pulling for you.

I drove my truck today, its making more noise than ever! It's so loud I can hear it in the cab with the radio on... and it was in the 50's when it did it, no longer has to be 30 degrees. It still quits when it warms up though. I'll be glad to be rid of it at this point.

Did you discuss to them about the additional mods that were already installed and paid for? They can at least reimburse you on that
