Hey guys is it possible to travel 14 miles on a mountain bike in 1 hour? It will only be on frontage roads? Does anyone know if it's possible?I'm in pretty good shape.

Will it kick my a$$

If it's road riding it is certainly feasible and it will be a work out. Obviously hills are a factor. You might be a little sweaty by the time you make it to school... 14 mph is a pretty decent clip to hold on a mountain bike.

that's the thing I can't leave early cuz my nephews bus does not take off till 0650.

Last class of the day ends at 2 pm, and his bus gets home at 3pm on the dot.

You can do it for sure! That a pretty heavy pace for a MTB. I swapped out my dirt wheels for roadies... makes a HUGE difference because your not pushing that extra rubber.

Yea there are a few hills, but even small hills seem like mountains sometimes haha, although I would love to try it.

The only thing that holds me back is that I'm afraid I wouldn't make it back in time to wait on my 6 yr old nephew when his bus drops him off. Maybe if I speak with the neighbors, he walks back with the neighbors kid from the bus stop everyday.

That is a nice bike indeed.

I would try it out on the weekend when you don't absolutely have to make it in time. It would suck to find out the hard way that you couldn't make it in time.
