Hi Tacoma World, I've been lurking for a little bit now, but have been wanting a Taco since I started driving. I found a '14 TRD off road with a 6sp MT 40k on it for $27k. Seems like an alright deal to me (maybe a little on the high side?) but wanted to see if I could get anyone else's thoughts. Also are the manual trans reliable/durable, or is the AT a stronger trans?

In my area that's a good deal if it's in excellent shape. Dealers around here are asking 1 to 3 grand more for that right now.

You don't even tell us your market, which is something that influences prices. There is a lot of truth to the 'Toyota tax' you read about, ie used Toyotas sell higher than other trucks.

Research your market. Edmunds true value is helpful. Never be afraid to make an offer. And always remember if it's on a lot, they have it marked up enough to be able to 'give' a buyer what they think is a great deal on their clapped out trade in. So you'll do better with a cash offer, no trade. And be willing to get up and walk out.

Market is in Nebraska, didn't realize that would influence that much. Thanks for the heads up on Edmunds they seem to have more info than kbb.
