I've not gone out to see it myself. I'm guessing frame is most likely good because it's down here in Houston. I also wouldn't mind changing out the normal wear parts like suspension, brakes, etc.

I'm thinking of having it inspected by a mechanic. I'm unsure how much they'll let me do though. Because with so many miles, I'm more worried about neglected transmission/engine.

    I think that's awfully high for the mileage & a 4x2

Price is good. Miles a bit high. Depends on the over all condition.

    Yeah. I really don't mind a 4x2

Btw, thanks everyone for letting me know that the price is iffy. I'm definitely going to keep looking for similar trucks in the price/miles range. Hopefully I get lucky in my quest for one.

I understand that, especially down in Houston!
Just referring to the value of the truck, 4x4 cost more.

Its a dealer sale, so you know they raped the previous owner. probably got it for between 6k-8k max. I'd offer 10k +ttl and not think twice about the mileage. Probably still consider it at 11k. GL

May be OK for a 4X4, but like he said, 4X4's are worth more money, even if you don't want one, they are worth more. For a Prerunner, & that many mi., personally, would say no. Take 2K off for no 4X4 = 12K, that'd be much better.

Wouldn’t touch it for that price and mileage and no 4x4.

4x4's are worth more money cause they cost more money when new. 2x4's cost less at new there for sell for less. Common sense logic...

Obviously the OP knows this and is fine with it being a 2wd.

Yeah, but he asked for opinions & some of us gave them, Don't give a 4X4 price for a 2 wd truck, doesn't matter if he needs (wants) it or not.

    This...

I paid mid 20's for 2015 Sport with 42K, last June. Took me over a year, but something came up private sell, and all dealer maintenance history provided. Even got a 120K extended warrantee transferred for free (seller was a really honest person since I found papers in glove box after sale was final, and he had to sign over it, and did so without asking for more $$).

Bottom line, if you're patient, better deal may come up. But price IMHO is high for mileage. I'd have your mech look it over for wear items (suspension, drive belts, and all fluids). Ask for service records, even if hand written. I do all maintenance on my vehicles, and note dates work was done on sheet of paper that gets put in envelope in glove box, with receipts.

Bottom line, if all looks good, you can still ask for less, start w/10K (less if you find anything off), and maybe meet in middle, if your mech feels it's a good deal.

As for the transmission, you can always open the fill hole in inspect the fluid without emptying it. If black or smelling burnt, pass on it.
