    Not this time. The wife got us a cabin for two nights at Phantom Ranch -- nice way to go. If you won't want to carry food (I think this goes for campers as well), you can reserve dinner at the Ranch. We had super hearty beef stew, cornbread, killer salad, big-ass brownie for dessert -- all made fresh in their kitchen. Served family style, second helpings are no problem.

    I love working for the highway department. Weed whacking around poles and such out in the middle of nowhere at times. Dangerous but fun :)

    What's up Gen Z :rofl:saw this thread and had to post something. I am 22 so right in the middle of you buffoons. I'm fairly new to the TacomaWorld. Bought a gently used 2020 TRD offroad with cash in October. I've always loved Toyotas - I had been driving a '03 Tundra since my 16th birthday and saved my money for years to buy this new (to me) Taco. Just getting started on the build and loving it so far. I'm building this truck to be purpose-driven and functional rather than just to jack it up super high and have mall crawler cred. I want to drive this truck long enough to give it to my future son one day.

    Is anybody else in here located on the gulf coast? [​IMG]

    Oh yeah it's pretty expensive. That has a story behind it. One turn on a road we mow is notorious for having people put their cars in one specific area in a ditch. A drunk guy came barreling down the hill. Lost control in the turn and crashed right into the ditch and the diamond plate came flying out the back of his truck. I think he fled the scene. When the cops got there his floor boards were full of beer cans.

    Well the owner of the house on the corner wanted the plate but since he was older he couldn't lift it and carry it up the steep ditch. He asked if I could carry it up the hill and he'd love to use it for a welding project so I did it. Regardless it was getting removed from the ditch as the mowers were going to be coming by soon and they'd hit it and probably break something.
