I can definitely understand where you are coming from. I really liked the truck with the cap, but it actually creates more issues for me based on the way I use my truck. Loading fishing/hunting gear becomes harder and I worry about fragile objects sticking out the back, transporting lumber and larger objects is nearly impossible, and I’ve got a really bad blind spot when backing up trailers. But for those that really need locking bed security all the time, it’s really the only way to go. If I was big into camping too I definitely wouldn’t have sold it.

 

I feel that, now you gotta buy a bike lol.

I'm 16 here
Technically my dad has a Tacoma, but he works from home and all so its kinda mine. It's awesome driving a truck at this age. Currently, it's completely stock which im here to change

 

Once you start, there's no going back. Down the "buying truck stuff" rabbit hole lol

I completely understand that. I'm the opposite, my fishing poles fit perfectly in the bed, and I want a secure, dry place to put all my stuff. The tonneau cover I had just limited the amount of stuff I could put in, and it was a pain to access all the time. I love my shell!

 

There isn't a time I drive my truck that I'm not glad I got a truck. It's such a fun experience and so useful.

 

Mowed the grass at home, dropped off moms car at the body shop to fix the front, washed the truck, did some weeding for an old lady, picked up grandma's mowers sharpened blades and got a hair cut. Busy day! Eating some dinner real quick then going to a relatives t-ball game

How was everyone's day?

 

Uneventful BUT the weather was beautiful for riding. Took the KLX instead of my bike cause it hasn't gotten much love recently.

 

Mine was drenched in rain and gear oil lol. Changed out the leaking front seal on my transfer case. Had to stop halfway in to grab a 30mm socket from harbor freight. Overall, not the worst experience lol

Wish Harbor Freight was closer to me to get cheap sockets. Home Depots Husky sockets a pretty reasonable and they're 5 minutes away.

They're about 30 minutes from me, that becomes 45 after having to drive a 2 lane road that has way to many cars on it! The price savings are worth it though!

Had my installed tomorrow. The installers scratched it about 10 times but most of them buffed out
