Anybody use 15% ethanol fuel? What’s your experience? In my area we have 86 88 and 91 octane with 10% OR 87 octane with 15% ethanol. Not sure what would work best for the Taco

I prefer 0% alcohol in my gas, thank you. I'll use E10 in a pinch but never more. I'm not sure Toyota endorses use of higher percentages.

If Toyota don’t recommend using 15%,, probably not a lot of people using it.

All our grades are 10% moonshine. All I can say is my truck runs fantastic on 87. If I run 89 there's no difference, but 92 or higher the truck runs logy with more gear hunting. I don't think 15% would be very good, it'd give the truck a hangover.

You can go up to E15. It says on your gas cap.

    From the Toyota manual
    ● Use only gasoline containing up to 15%
    ethanol.
DO NOT use any flex-fuel or gasoline
that could contain more than 15% etha-
nol, including from any pump labeled
    E30, E50, E85 (which are only some
examples of fuel containing more than
    15% ethanol).

    FYI
All vehicles made for sale in the US since 2001 are required to run on E15

I recall every gas station in town that sold pure gas for my motorcycle. Wouldn't put anything else in it.

Never noticed it....I had the dealer install a locking gas cap on my truck before I took delivery of it.

I'm on my second tank of E15 so far. It was cheap as a new Sheetz opened in town and it was $3.06 a gallon. No ill affects and fuel mileage has not suffered. Still runs like crap with the AC on no matter what fuel

I've been running the ac in my truck fairly often thats it been so hot lately. I honestly can't tell much difference when its on, or off. Performance feels close to the same, and fuel mileage is just a little lower.

If you can find it, nothing but 0%. In my area there are a few places, but it was a unicorn to find in my time in Cal.

With 0 evidence to support me. When the '01 got into high miles I ran 91 because gas was cheap and I figured it could use it with the O2 sensors acting up.
Got the 16 and just continued on using 91.
    I don't have any complaints.
    I'm currently on my 2nd tank of 87 to see if I notice a difference. I don't.
Was reading they're designed to run 87 without issues.

E10 is the standard downstate. When I go upstate (NY), there are a few places that sell E0. It's where I get gas for my small stuff. I usually pump a few gallons into the truck, as the pump uses a common hose for all grades. This way, I get nothing but E0 in the can.

I cannot say I've noticed any difference running E0-91 or E10-87 in the Taco.
