Why the move to the 690/701? I have a 690 so just curious is all.

    couple things.
I had a pretty big knee surgery 3 months ago (ACL / MCL / Meniscus) and see myself slowing down the hard trail riding to some longer distance.
My company was bought out recently and Im moving offices to the new HQ and will do some split on-road duty.

Right on. Good luck with healing up. Keep in mind the 690 will be tougher to pick up when dropped. Its heavy for a dirtbike. But i dont regret getting it at all. Great to ride on the street (i just recently converted mine to supermoto).

Any reason you dont want to use the 501 for street duty? Ive seen those do really well.

Im on the fence about that as well. Almost bought a SM wheelset yesterday and still might. I think im just enamored by a bike I have yet to own and the potential power

    i get that

i say run what ya got (personal opinion). throw a sm setup on and youll be smiling for days! the lighter weight of the bike will make up for not having as much power as the 690 guaranteed. braaaap :bikewheelie2::bikewheelie2::bikewheelie2::bikewheelie2:

    GLWS otherwise
