Pickup trucks in general have rake from the factory because the theory is people are going to load the bed with stuff. Go figure, huh?
And my experience with both my 2010 and 2012 Tacoma's, was excellent trade-in value. :notsure:

I am in Houston, if I don't have any luck here, I will take it to where I bought it, the dealership where my brother, and a couple of my friends work. I won't accept this not being fixed, it will be fixed or Toyota will put me in another truck. I didn't pay 32K for a brand new truck to have a hideous noise while going down the road. I won't bother with the vent shades, I don't like the way they look, no offense to you, but I'm not installing that on my truck.

Mine was also yellow. Although more of a school bus yellow, or "Dozer" as jeep calls it. 2173ab7f521df1933a03276d2badfa23_9fff724e0d345535141fe4c0e8cf12581e56edaa.jpg

I will go by the Toyota place here in Hot Springs Arkansas. Which is Orr Toyota. And see if I can pick up some more of those plastic pins I kinda like things done right. But if they don't have any I will do it without replacing the pins.

There's also a tsb for windshield noise in these trucks... . Idk if you've had it done or not. Had a whistling/horny elk noise from mine in a crosswind about 75mph.

Technical safety bulletin. It's a common problem that dealers know about and they will fix it for free under warranty.

There's several for 2nd gen tacomas.

    To be announced
I have a friend who works at the dealer ship I bought my truck from and he told me before I even left the lot if I get any wind noise that they would replace the windshield and that there is a recall for it

this is interesting. I was driving on the Altamont Pass (CA) and i heard a similar noise, it was very windy that day. I thought it was the tires on the road or something, it was very quick and both me and my pops were dumbfounded by it. i havent heard it again since, even after driving over the pass many times since (same lane even).

Well dropped it off at the dealership and their master foreman supposedly took it for a ride and says it sounds normal. Guess I'll be getting the double sided tape out this weekend.

Dropped my truck off last week on Thursday night, Friday night the service guy calls me and tells me that they have ordered a new set of door gaskets / weather seals, it's now Tuesday and I havent heard back, just called and left a message asking for an update. I really hope this fixes my truck!!

Hope it works for you, but most people crosswind type noises coming through seals aren't getting any better with new seals. It's the same crappy seal that making the noise now that they put in there.

Let us know if it reduces it for you!
