15 to 16 inch wheels, how can we change speedo?

    You also dont need larger rims to run larger tires. Smaller rims are better in because they give more side wall compared to a larger rim with the same diameter tire

    You should of read the spcer on that was in here before getting moved to the tire and wheel section

    I just changed the speedo output shaft/gear cog on the transmission. Take yours out, count teeth to figure out which one you have. Figure the percentage difference between the old and new tires say 31/33.... Buy the replacement cog with number of teeth difference to get as close as you can to reflect that percentage. If I remember right my OEM cog was 31 teeth and I bought one with 28 teeth when I went to 33" tires.

    he never mentioned what size tire he's putting on. judging by the previous posts he thinks going to a 16" rim is a bigger tire :notsure:

    Actually not, I understand the diff between wheel and tire, just didn’t want to stop you. Found a solution to the question so thank you to everyone for your help
