Hey guys. Can I run 15's on my 2004 Tacoma? I have a nice set of factory chrome wheels from a first gen pickup (83). Just wondering if any of y'all have tried it.

    Reserected from the dead.
The early Tacoma s had 15" wheels. The TRD version were 16". All I can say is check to see if the break calipers clear.

Not sure about 83 rim, but 15 do fit up to 04. Depending on back spacing tho. One too many people so no, but they fit with proper spacing.

I'm running 15x10 w/ 3.5 back spacing. No rub, clear caliper.

If you already have them, just jack it up and put them on and see for yourself.

They'll more than likely be *close*, one way or the other.

I am running an old set of Enkei 15's that I had on my '92, now use them for my winter tires. I keep my 16's for summer street tires. No problem with fitment.

    Pretty much stock right now
I ran 15" rims from a '00 on my '01 (which came with 16"). The 16s were steelies whereas the 15s were the older toyota aluminum wheels with way better tires. The swap worked fine on both vehicles.

Some 15's clear, some don't. I have Pro Comp 7069's in a 15" and they clear the caliper but I know a lot of the steel 15" wheels don't fit. Try it and see if you have the wheels already!

Yep, I've done it. 15" OEM wheels from a 2000 on my 2003 which came with 16s.

Thanks for the info. I bolted the bare wheel on there and it clears the caliper just fine. Thinking of finding a set of mud tires to go on them for winter.
