    I've passed through superstition before but I'm not as familiar with the area as Ocotillo Wells so this is pretty new for me too

    For the freshmen,

    It can get to to the high 30s in the desert during the winter. Superstition can also be an area with high winds. Pack for the cold with good jackets and sleeping bags.

    The terrain is mostly sandy so pick up longer stakes for your tent and shades to anchor them properly.

    No pallets with nails in the desert.
    Pack out more than what you bring.
