Oops. sounds like it needs some reinforcement, I always add a couple of bars to the flange on off-road stuff cause they always break! Lemme know if ye need help, unless its totally smoked.

I think they did that on Top Gear once! Creative gentlemen!

Im going to OW Thursday thru Monday, lemme know if ya wanna come out.

Greg, next ones we should put on are the TC race type gussets, they are 5x as strong...They are the gussets that are designed to be used WITH sway bar, however it doesnt need to be installed..its just a lot more labor putting them on but soooo much stronger, even had a gusset for the steering arm off the spindle.

I was happy to make it home. I forgot how much power that turbo makes. Felt like a dog driving home with no boost and a huge exhaust leak. I'm almost done with my motor mounts. Pretty sure that jump at camp is what killed it. Turbo kissed the hood a few times. I'll definitely add some bracing. You'd think 1/4 mild pipe would hold together, but add 1500F might change things. I think it is salvageable when I pull it apart next weekend. Surprised it lasted a few years. I'll pm you if I come across some issues or decide to go stainless.

Definitely. Gonna get myself rolling again and then either go with the gussets you're talking about or the spindles @Crom has on his rig which he got from the truck shop.

I actually beg to differ. We took an old beat up one dumped gas all over the canopy part then put Christmas trees up underneath it was awesome and when done we shoveled the remaining little melted bits of canopy that were left into our fore pit where the rest of the weekend they melted down to nothing

image.jpg image.jpg Don't worry all got taken care of properly last night no ones gonna run it over it. Prolly being sent back to China soon made into more faulty camp gear for someone else to throw into a campfire. Thus creating an endless loop for future generations to enjoy. The circle of life.

Pretty sure @Speed Freek is speaking to the ones quoted above. @goblue82 just be careful with the TC ones because i don't think they work with stock wheels, less backspacing is needed. Investigate that if you go that route.

I almost went that route when I first got my gussets. Only reason I went with the gusset that does not allow for the sway bar is because the other version they make that allows for the sway requires wheel spacers if running stock wheels and I wasnt planning on using spacers. At this point I have stock wheels and spacers so they'll work out in my case.

Now that you have space they will fit, they do stick out further than the stock spindle at the top. Still never seen a spindle break at the bottom point, there is a lot of material at that point! Glad it didnt turn out worse.
