Those that have Off-roads did you keep 16 inch wheels or get 17? Why?

Threw some vinyl stickers on 'em and called it day. They work and look good enough for me.

I have both. 17s on mount and 16 for the spare.
I did it for balance of the look and ratio with the bigger tires.

    All of them.
16s add a little more sidewall which helps offroad. 17s have more options for sizes.

Off-roading only once in a while so 17’s be the better choice?

I ended up buying some 4 runner wheels from a 2018 that are 17". I got a smokin deal on them and they have worked great for the last 4 years.

I have a 2" Lift. It's ride's well and performs pretty well off road.

I had 16s for a while and loved it moved up to 17 due to a good deal on the rims. I love the look still. Both sets were essentially 33s. The 16s has a little more sidewall but both look beefy.

I just bought a 2021 Tacoma and already ordered 17's I found on sale for 4th of July. I like the look of the 17's.

My brother @StealYourFace has a nicely built 2020. He has 17's as well.

This. Sidewall is sexy. I’m going 315/75/r16 here soon. Not looking forward to the fender well chop though :sawzall:

As you can see I still rub on the top of the inner fender. That's with superbumps and spacers. But its only if it's a crazy hard hit or the tires leave the ground

Method wheels. Not sure on the offset and backspacing. Fox 2.5s sitting at about 1.5 inches of lift' if that. Hard to measure with my cut fenders. My cv shafts are pretty much level tho

Think it depends on what size tire you're running. If you go 285s, there's really a minor difference between 16s or 17s. Sidewall is the only thing to argue about. But with 285s there's a lot of sidewall regardless. If you're using 265s, I would go with 16s.

    Just put on 285/70r17s today.

Who is running a sale on rims? Let me know, as I am looking for some black 16's. Thanks.

    @SteveinFL

I will be selling my TRD Pro 2021 16's in two weeks. They are the black ones.
    FYI.
Waiting on my 17's to come in.
