    Hi All

I am pretty new to the forum in terms of posting. I have been reading for a while on all the issues with some of the tacos as well as the upgrades some have done to the truck.

I am lucky so far with the truck (She was assembled in US). She has about 13k miles on it and the only issue I am experiencing is the "ABS" brake feel when you stop.

I hope I don't get flamed, because there are tons and tons of info on the forums. I have about 5k to spend on wheels, tires, suspension.

I am wondering if there is anyone out there that did everything at once and what did you go for with that budget in mind.

    I appreciate any feedback.

Your wheels and suspension are fine. Upgrade your tires, put together a nice recovery kit, and spend the leftover $4k on your first 10 payments. If you must have wheels, get what YOU like.

Get your truck fixed first!! No dealership is going to look at your brakes the moment you lift it.

Don't do tires and suspension same day. Cause I'm going to guess you're not the guy to be installing it yourself, it's safer to do lift on Sunday, tires on Saturday to be a 100% on the work that's been done to your truck.

No point asking for lift advice without listing what terrain you want to drive and how fast or slow you want to go over it.

Btw you're better off investing your money to give you a return on investment. I hear dominos pizza is doing Great these days! -the only real advise you'll get that's helpful. Everyone else will take your money and sell you icon stage stupid.

Start small - get stuck - learn - improve.

Or OME - Sliders - tires - front skid aftermarket. Solves 99% of real requirement.

    Like, so many.
Are you wanting cosmetic mod suggestions?
I like those Magnum steps. $300
Maybe a front bumper? What's that run? $1200-1500?
Slight lift might be nice. That'll be about $600 if you upgrade suspension.

You gave us your budget but you did not provide a list of operational requirements/desires/needs/wants and uses.

How do you plan to use the truck? Do you plan to haul equipment or tow? How much weight and how often? Do you want to add a topper, a RTT, heavy bumpers, armor and a winch? All of this can impact greatly the type of set up you'll want to run.

What size tires would you want to run? How much lift do you plan to add? Best to keep at 2" or less BTW.

I wouldn't get Dakars unless planning on carrying a lot of weight around.

Should have noted that for OP. For my uses they fit perfectly and would hate to still have stock springs considering how easy i had the rear of the truck sagging before the install. Would hate to have seen them with my rtt and loaded down with camping gear for the weeked.

Pardon my ignorance, is there a fix (TSB) for that light pulsating brake feel when you come to a stop? From my understanding everyone that has the truck suffers from this.
    Appreciate the advise

Some pulsing/vibration is normal with the way the electronic brake boost system on the TRDOR operates.

It's normal. The brake booster found in TRD OR and Pro models is the source of it.

If I had $5k to burn on my Taco I'd get Kings, TC UCAs, SCS Ray10s and 285s. Unsure which flavor of tire I'd go with atm.

    Hi All

    Thanks for all the replies.
I apologize for not being specific on what I want to accomplish with the truck. I live in Vero Beach FL (Not much off-roading around here at all). I do on a regular basis drive on dirt farm roads, most of which have poor washboard surfaces.

I guess what I wish to do is to make the truck just a little more capable to handle all kinds of off-road situations and a little more "aggressive". Tire upgrade, I agree, is 100% must.

I dont have this feel. I didnt notice anything about the brake sin particular.

If I had $5k to burn I would go with an AllPro Long Travel kit with extended travel Fox or Kings front and rear with Expedition Leaf pack. I would get Sealth Custom wheels and Maxxis Trepadors
